The department conducts research on a wide spectrum of pharmacological research in relation to new synthesized compounds, which have been resulted in the selection of the most active substance, namely morpholin 2-(5-(4-pyridyl)-4-(2-methoxyphenyl)-1,2,4-triazole-3-ylthio)acetate. On the basis of this substance a potential original low-toxic neuroprotective drug with adaptogenic properties "TIOMETRYZOL" has been created with antioxidant and anti-ischemic mechanism of action, which has significant neuroprotective properties. The drug is relevant and necessary, since cerebral stroke is currently one of the main causes of death and disability in the world
The laboratory for liquid chromate-mass-spectrometry at the Department of Physical and Chemical Chemistry began its work in February 2014. The leading specialist is the PhD, Associate Professor, Varynskyi Borys Oleksandrovych .
The laboratory is equipped with the Agilent 1260 Infinity HPLC System hardware (degasser, binomial pump, autosampler, column thermostat, diode-matrix detector, single-quadrupole mass spectrometer Agilent 6120 with ionization in electric field) and software Open LABCDS Software.
Today is already published: 2 review and more than 15 experimental articles.
Artamonov Valeriy – a student of the 4th year Pharmaceutical faculty, is engaged in physical and chemical studies of derivatives of 1,2,4-triazoles, quantum chemical calculations of synthesized molecules.
Bliznyuk Denis is a 3rd year student at the Pharmaceutical faculty, from the first year he has been an active participant in the SSS of the Department of Physical and Colloidal Chemistry. He is engaged in physical and chemical studies of derivatives of 1,2,4-triazoles, quantum chemical calculations of synthesized molecules, conducts preliminary computer screening of biological activity of synthesized compounds.
Dovbnya Dmitry is a 3rd year student at the Pharmaceutical faculty. Since his fist year he has been an active participant in the SSS of the Department of Physical and Colloidal Chemistry. Guliy Andriy is a 3rd year student at the Pharmaceutical faculty working in the laboratory for liquid chromate-mass-spectrometry. Performs sample preparations of compounds for HPLC, calibration of equipment, preparation of solutions with exact concentrations.
Vitaliy Golovkin is a 3rd year student at the Pharmaceutical faculty working in the laboratory for liquid chromate-mass-spectrometry. Performs sample preparations of compounds for HPLC, calibration of equipment, preparation of solutions with exact concentrations.
The SST of the Department of Physical and Chemical Chemistry of the Zaporizhzhya State Medical University functions on the basis of three laboratories, the purpose of which is to study the synthetic, physical, chemical and biological properties of synthesized chemicals, new potential medicines based on the nucleus of 1,2,4-triazoles.
Students belonging to the department of Physical and Chemical Chemistry are directly involved in the scientific activity of the department. All students acquire basic knowledge and skills in the chemical and analytical laboratories, as well as regulations for experiments with laboratory animals.
Students who take part of the CHS faculty of the Physiological Chemistry, during the year speak at student conferences (both domestic and foreign), traditionally take part in the All-Ukrainian contest of student research papers, and scientific and practical events held on the basis of Zaporizhzhya State Medical University and outside of it.
